The past two months we, as a team, have emerged ourselves in the academic literature concerning gazelles, personal traits of entrepreneurs and those of high-growth firms. After reviewing seventy relevant papers we reduced this list to twenty-five highly relevant articles. Based on these articles we have designed a survey in order to develop a model to recognize gazelle entrepreneurs. This survey has been conducted among 64 master students whom are enrolled in the master course New Venture Creation and Development.
This will form the scientific base for our very practical business plan. This week we have been busy analyzing the results of the survey. As the output from Qualtrics did not give the clear overview we had expected, we have decided to approach an expert on SPSS to help us process the data. It is important that this is done properly since this model will be our proposed solution in the final report.
Another important decision we made this week is to incorporate our scientific article about gazelle entrepreneurs in the appendix. This way it can be shown that our practical solutions and ideas finds a solid base in the scientific literature. Moreover, by structuring the report in such a manner, the efforts made in the last two months can be reflected in the quality of the overall report.
This week we have written the introduction, methods and theoretical framework of the, to be included, scientific paper. The analysis has to be completed by the end of next week in order to have enough time to conduct market research to identify possible roadblocks. Simultaneously, all the elements that make the proposed solution will be written during this week. Check in next week to see our progress.
