Enterprising Regions Group 6, Week 48, Impacts of Telecom Development on Local Entrepreneurship in Africa

Hi readers, welcome to our second blog about the impacts of telecom development on local entrepreneurship in Africa.

As mentioned last week, our research is about the Impacts of Telecom Development on Local Entrepreneurship in Africa. Last week we started our research by thinking of the main question and by formulating the problem statement. During our meeting with Marja, we realized that we needed sub-questions in our research in order to make everything accessible and to combine different information sources that we can use, so that useful information will not get lost.

Yesterday, we finished our sub-questions, which will bring us closer towards our final conclusion. These sub-questions mostly consist of questions about whether mobile banking is important or not and how financial organizations handle this sort of communication.

We also sorted out what we were going to do the next few weeks, set some deadlines and we discussed what information sources we are going to use in order to finish this assignment successfully. We will try to interview different people and we will try to use our stated sub-questions to get to know more about their view on the subject. Besides that, we will try to look up all kinds of other sources of information, like for instance statistics and figures about the subject. Next Wednesday is our next deadline and we hope that by then, we have enough information to make a big start. We will report on our progress again in next week’s blog.

I hope you’ve enjoyed reading our blog and hopefully you will read our next week’s blog as well! 🙂
